Our Values

  • Love and Loyalty to God

Our Chief aim is to love and glorify God.

Jesus’ first and greatest commandment is to ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ Matthew 22.37

  • Love and Care for others

Jesus’ second great commandment is to ‘ Love your neighbour as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.’ Matthew 22.37

We seek to build Godly relationships that reflect a culture of care and encouragement.

‘Therefore encourage one another and build one another up.’ 1 Thessalonians 5:11

‘Brothers and sisters, do not slander one another.’ James 4:11

‘If your brother or sister sins against you, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you.’ Matthew 18:15

  • Absolute Truth

We hold to the absolute truth and authority of the Bible.

‘All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.’ 2 Timothy 3:16.

  • Faith and prayer

We believe in the power of prayer and commit our ways to Him, trusting God for guidance.

‘In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.’ Proverbs 3.5

‘Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that He exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.’ Hebrews 11:6-8

‘Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to power that is at work in us, unto Him be glory.’ Ephesians 3:20

‘For we live by faith, not by sight.’ 2 Corinthians 5:7

  • Honesty and Integrity

We hold fast to a culture of honesty and integrity, and are committed to faithful stewardship of resources

‘He that is faithful in that which is least, is faithful also in much.’ Luke 16:10

‘The integrity of the upright shall guide them.’ Proverbs 11:3

‘Whoever walks in integrity will be delivered.’ Proverbs 28:18

  • Service and humility

Jesus came not to be served but to serve. Let our service be pleasing to God and a blessing to others.

‘The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.’ Matthew 20:28

‘Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus who being in very nature God ….made Himself nothing…He humbled Himself and became obedient to death, even death on the Cross.’ Philippians 2: 5-8

‘Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.’ Romans 12:13

  • Wisdom and responsibility

By the grace of God and the power of the Holy Spirit, we commit to act in a wise and responsible manner, constantly seeking guidance and wisdom from God as we pray and meditate on His Word. We are committed to discipline and self-control in our personal and corporate lives.

‘Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.’ 1 Corinthians 4:2

‘The wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.’ James 3:17

  • Peace and forgiveness

‘Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness.’ James 3:18

We seek to live in peace and harmony, honouring those who faithfully serve the Lord, and forgiving those who sin against us.

‘For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.’ Matthew 6:15
